A high five and a Happy "new life" Birthday began a new chapter in Kristy's life.
Autologous Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) treatment is an established procedure that is now being used to halt MS. Kristy pioneered the way for Australians to access the treatment in Moscow, and around the world. Bravely travelling to Moscow, without her young family, Kristy "rebooted" her immune system and now has stopped the progression of her MS, and is even regaining control of her body.
HSCT is not easily available in Australia and Kristy is freely educating Australians, with MS, about the fantastic results of her treatment, as documented by the Australian tv show 60 Minutes. Moscow is the best HSCT option at US$42,000 treatment cost, Chicago is currently US$140,000. Kristy wanted to actively raise her young family and went into debt to halt her MS.
A Feast for Kristy is to help finish paying for her treatment in Moscow. Since her treatment and "60 Minutes" over 100 Australian's have been or are going to Moscow.
Through her "Moving Mountains to defeat MS" on Facebook, Kristy has helped guide and support everyone interested in HSCT.
